The TOTAL MUSEUM of Seoul is preparing a selection of videos from the Video Portrait exhibition that took place at the museum in two volumes in 2017 and continues to travel the world in different formats!

Video Portrait is an exhibition of contemporary portraits, captured through video by 18 artists. From stories related to the national division and forgotten people, some video also capture the faintness of that which has been neither remembered nor experiences, or also the suffering of others and memories of it. Various videos coined questions about identity. In addition to individuals and memory, the exhibition also contains stories about a reality from which we cannot turn away. Also from some artist, their process concerns global migrations immigrations and the ways in which the personnal histories and collective utopias behind them function within the grand narratives of the state and society.
